Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County

This is a free event for families and kids. The Boys & Girls Clubs puts this on for an opportunity for families to have fun together while not having to worry about the cost of activities. Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County in celebration of children and families at our exciting community event, Day for Kids, on September 17 at the Promenade Shops at Centerra. Day for Kids honors children with a FREE event for the whole family. The celebration includes fun activities for kids of all ages: from Preschool Playground for the youngest kids, all the way up to Teen Alley, no one is left out of the fun! Best of all, admission and all activities are FREE for everyone! As a volunteer you will receive a t-shirt, coupons from the sponsors & business exhibitors, snacks and water, and lunch if you select both morning and afternoon shifts. Even more important, you’ll benefit from the heart-felt joy of a fun day with children, an opportunity to give families a fun day together, and lots and lots of kids’ smiles. Volunteers are needed to help with event planning this summer, with set-up on Friday, 9/16 and to run activities, help with check-in, and various other duties on Saturday 9/17. The following shifts are available: July & August planning meetings Friday 9/16 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday 9/17 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m – SET UP (Mildly Heavy Lifting) 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Event Time 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Event Time 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – TEAR DOWN Kathleen Vasa and Amanda Christman will coordinate volunteers for this year’s Day for Kids and we are open to all volunteers and are willing to accommodate varying schedules.
