Wildlands Restoration Volunteers

Not far from the Pingree Park Campus, the Forest Service has taken on the daunting task of returning a section of State Forest land to it's natural fire regime. They need our help to prepare the forest for the safe implementation of this effort. WRV volunteers will be gathering fuels into "slash piles" so that they can be burned safely later this fall when there is a protective layer of snow on the ground. No experience is necessary. Friday evening arrival and camping is encouraged. Meals will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. Event Location: Forest adjacent to Pingree Park Road near CLP river
