Applying to graduate school or for an internship or scholarship is certainly stressful enough. And trying to write a good personal statement alone could make you tear your hair out. This workshop will offer strategies for successful application personal statements and essays. Bring a draft of your personal statement in-progress for hands-on help from English Department faculty. If you don't have a full draft,bring a list of accomplishments, interesting moments in your life, or anything that makes you distinctive or shows a long-term interest in whatever field you hope to join.
