• The first generation college students CSU engaged for most of its first 150 years are very different from those we will serve in the next 150. This engaging session will briefly overview some of the compositional diversity and success of first generation students, and then drive toward a critical reflection on how to become the “student-ready” university needed to serve the increasingly diverse first-generation college students we anticipate. Faculty and staff participants will come away with specific actions and behaviors they can take to shift environment and cultures to center the experiences of students least well served over the first 150 years of CSU’s existence.
