Use Your Power (Point) Wisely: Creating Effective Slides and Presentations, Presenter: Brian Jones, Physics
Presenter(s):
Sally Hibbitt
Description:
How do you best fit the technology tool to the job at hand? Folks have a story to tell and information to convey; what's the best tool for this purpose? Slides may not be the answer. (Barack Obama didn't use PowerPoint when he gave his inaugural address. Sometimes words are enough.) Or perhaps a different type of slide than we usually see might best get points across. This presentation will focus on pedagogy that affects the choice of multimedia presentation tools. It will also cover tips and tricks of using the effective features of PowerPoint and Keynote, such as appropriate use of transitions and backgrounds.
